My thoughts on the news!

So, yesterday I was asked did you hear about those people that were shot and killed .... my answer was a definite NO..... why not I was asked,  don't you know what is going on the world?......

I do watch the news, but on Animal Planet,  I also watch the news.... Extreme makeover home edition, I also love watching the news......  Billy Cox or Robin Sharma or Tony Robbins.....

You see, this is my philosophy... If I watched all the news on TV or on Facebook about all the killings and the animal cruelty etc etc, the first things that comes to mind, is WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT IT?   If I share all these stories, 2 things happen..... I get so frustrated about not being able to change the world and bring about world peace and secondly, if I go about sharing these stories and talking about it publicly am I now giving those people the power they are looking for???

My humble thoughts on these matters is, I need to concern myself about the world around me in my community.  The place where I can make a difference.  The place where I can go out and help people in need if needs be.

In a nutshell:

Maybe it is the wrong attitude to have, but, I choose to have a positive attitude:

Pretty simple right????  Well, yes in my mind it is simple.  I can either let the world get me down or I can get out there and make a difference.  I choose the latter.....

Today is my tomorrow....

Following on my blog from yesterday, I am happy to report my faith has been fully restored this morning....  It is a scary situation when you suddenly realize your belief system is in tatters around your feet.  I guess it takes days like yesterday to strengthen your beliefs and help you move on.

But of course, yesterday was not all bad.  I have 2 rays of sunshine in my life, that from the day they were born, created this happy place in my heart.  Even if my day should start badly, a phone call, a whats-app or even a G-talk message, gets the happy place racing. And true to form, number 1 on G-talk started the swing from downright miserable to a bit of a jog .  Then the whats-app from no 2 to spend the afternoon with her, just completed the pendulum and once again the day was in full swing.

Isn't it amazing when your pendulum is in full swing how it can affects your entire persona.  It is not easy to motivate oneself when you get out of bed with a heavy heart.  We turn to many things, such as chemicals and medication to help us through tough spots but, is it the right thing to do?  Should we not dig deep into our inner self to ensure our motivation comes from higher powers rather than from a 'bottle'?   Working for myself, I have a permanent struggle to keep myself on the right path.  There is no set routine and no 'job' to get up and get dressed for.  I constantly look for affirmation to keep me moving in the right direction.  Thank goodness for my good friend Google.  From there I draw my strength every morning.  Its crazy to think that I type in my needs or thoughts and I get hundreds of messages or images to choose from.  Then there is always one that stands out, I take that as my sign to get my day started, and the creativity flows from there.....

I end my thoughts for today with the following:

Having faith in tough situations......

Today I dedicate my blog to my cuz......  to say my faith was rocked this morning is quite an understatement.  Without being too morbid I just want to have my say and then be done with it!  How do you take the pain away from someone who has just had her life shattered by something so unexpected, or was it unexpected??  Do we hide our suspicions so far away that we start to believe ourselves that nothing is going on????  Then when it actually goes down, we fall apart...... life can sometimes be so cruel...

So how do you move on from here.  You have faith, you put your trust in your chosen God, you pray everyday for some sought of peace, yet, here we are.......  in a million pieces.

I turn to my trusty pal, Google, I look up the word 'faith'.... there are so many little stories of how people overcome their disappointment and so many passages that tell us not to let go of our faith when we hit a pothole.... shew, can she do it????

I say yes she can..... you have overcome so much in your life already, you have the biggest heart I know, and you surely do not deserve what has transpired and the manner in which it went down.  But, here you are, already making plans to rise above the ashes.  You are my shining star and the one entity that will keep me holding on to my faith..... and so in closing I add this last pic.... no further commentary needed from me!!!!

And so 2015 begins

We have said goodbye to 2014 and hello 2015.  For sure there will be some new beginnings this year, for instance, I am now 50 +1 so slightly older and wiser.  But there were many successful achievements in 2014 that we now need to build on.  My most successful moments of 2014 were those gorgeous customers that never gave up and achieved some of their goals.
But.... I know for a fact that many goals have been carried over to 2015... to those on this journey already, 2015 is going to be amazing and we are going to achieve achieve achieve!

To those not yet on our journey here is my question to you:

Live in the moment.

"Carpe Diem! Seize the day!" Written in 23BC, by a Roman poet named Horace.
2012 years later the phrase was made famous again by an English Professor played by Robin William in Dead Poet’s Society.

This day is all we have. We make ALL our decisions in the NOW.

Will the decisions we make TODAY lead us to better health, prosperity, more time to do the things we want to do with our precious time?

Or will they keep us exactly where we are..... (or even leave us worse off than we were yesterday).

Logic agrees – the past is simply an accumulation of our present-moments (NOW’s).

And the past is over….. done with. Moving right along.

It's what we do RIGHT NOW that can get us into our groove.

Success at anything…..ANYTHING…..is about recognising your goal as a DESTINATION, claiming it as YOURS and then making a commitment to small and constant improvements until you’ve developed and accumulated skills which allow you to simply reach out and grab it.

It's time to blog again.......

Sunday always seems to be a day that I wake up and my mind tends to work overtime.  Maybe, just the reflection on the week that was or maybe, the excitement of the week that is coming....

So, I came across this little quote... of course it caught my eye because it was such a pretty pink, then the words sunk in and made me think!!! And, yes I do think sometimes!!!!!

My volume in the divine book has had so many different paths.  It has taken me from major downs to extreme highs.  As I sit and reflect, it dawns on me that yes, I created a mirror, and wow do I have so much power that the universe actually knows I exist????  So many questions out there and so many decisions to be made.

Time to sit, setup a master plan, and more importantly, once that plan is on paper, to follow it step by step.  I am now realizing if you don't see it you cannot believe it and then you will never achieve it....

Our time is our life

I was sent this article via email.  It is quite profound how messages come to you when you need them most.  I read so many articles everyday and mostly do not have any kind of reaction.  But this one made me sit quite still and read it over a few times before it sank in.  It is strange how we get caught up in our everyday lives, so many hours spent working and making a living, do we forget what it is all about in the end.  Now, do not get me wrong, I understand that while we are on earth we need to make ourselves comfortable and ensure we leave a heritage for our children, but, how much do we actually give of ourselves so that we can go to our forever sleep with a clear conscience, when we lay our heads down do we know that our wealth is more than just worldly goods.  Just a thought.... have an awesome Thriday!!!!  (thanks for that word Vix)...

The last wishes of Alexander the Great:

On his death bed, Alexander summoned his generals and told them his three
ultimate wishes:

1.  The best doctors should carry his coffin;
2.  The wealth he has accumulated (money, gold, precious stones) should
be scattered along the procession to the cemetery, and
3.  His hands should be let loose, hanging outside the coffin for all to
see.

One of his generals who was surprised by these unusual requests asked
Alexander to explain.

Here is what Alexander the Great had to say:

1.  I want the best doctors to carry my coffin to demonstrate that, in the
face of death, even the best doctors in the world have no power to heal
2.  I want the road to be covered with my treasure so that everybody sees
that material wealth acquired on earth, stays on earth
3.  I want my hands to swing in the wind, so that people understand that
we come to this world empty handed and we leave this world empty handed
after the most precious treasure of all is exhausted, and that is TIME.
TIME is our most precious treasure because it is LIMITED.  We can produce more wealth, but we cannot produce more time.
When we give someone our time, we actually give a portion of our life that we will never take back.
Our time is our life.

May God grant you plenty of TIME and may you have the wisdom to give it away so that you can LIVE & LOVE in peace.
